In 1997, Mr. Colette had the distinct honor of presenting an oral argument before the Honorable Ruth Bader Ginsburg in the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals. Representing the appellant in United States v. Paul Barrett, where the appellant was charged with two counts of making a false material declaration under oath, Mr. Colette demonstrated his exceptional skill and expertise in oral advocacy. While the court ultimately ruled against the appellant, this case underscores Mr. Colette’s ability to navigate complex legal issues at the highest levels before one of the nation’s most prestigious appellate courts and a legendary Supreme Court Justice.
